Anne Brodsky

Anne began dancing at a very young age. Her training was diverse in multiple genres. She quickly joined her studio’s dance team – performing and competing for many years. At the age of 20, she began teaching at a local studio in South Florida. Her show stopping choreography and flair, artistry and pure love of dance has rewarded her in all divisions at competitions with overall high scores. Her true dream was to one day own a studio of her very own. Anne’s dream became a reality when she was able to purchase her home studio. She beams with pride over the many accomplishments of her students and her studio. A few of her distinguished opportunities have included, but not limited to, being a guest speaker on the television show Dance and working very closely with one her mentors and tap legend, Debbi Dee. Anne is a proud member of Dance Educators of America, and is a judge for Hype Dance Competition.

Deana Brickley – Company Director

Deana Brickley, from Orlando, Florida, is one of the dance community’s most accomplished dancer and choreographer. She had the honor of being a New York City Radio City Music Hall Rockette for several seasons. Among her other accomplishments are: the TV show Glee, Smash, Bad Romance music video with Lady Gaga, PSA with Beyonce, performed with Jennifer Lopez at the American Music Video Awards, America’s Got Talent, and can be seen dancing with Lady Gaga in the MTV Video Awards. She has worked with many other prestigious artists and choreographers including assisting the Emmy award winning SYTYCD choreographer, Tessandra Chavez. Locally, she also enjoyed being on stage performing in the Equity production of Beauty and the Beast at Disney World as well as a high-kick dancer in Universal Studios. She considers herself an “all-around dancer” adapting to all genres of dance. Her skills as a dancer have taken her all around the world and her work has won her many awards and scholarships at numerous competitions and conventions. She is looking forward to a joyous and fruitful dance experience as she pursues her dance and choreography career. Deana is excited to join the EDT family as the new Company Director this season.

Kayla Collingwood

Kayla started as a member of Encore when she was two-years-old and was a part of the competition team until she graduated high school, training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical and hip-hop. In college she was a member of the Jubilee Dance Company which focused on ballet and modern and did various performances. In 2009 she joined the NHL’s Florida Panthers cheer leading team and in 2013 she was named co-captain. Currently Kayla works as a teacher assistant at Cambridge preschool and has been a nanny for the past seven years. She is also enrolled in Rasmussen College and will earn her Child Development Associate by the end of the year. This year she was thrilled to be back at Encore in a teaching capacity, introducing the love of dance to students as her teachers at Encore did for her.

Crystal Cosme


Crystal Cosme was born in Brooklyn, NY and has been dancing since the tender age of 3 1/2. She is trained in various forms of dance including ballet, modern, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Although she began her training in New York, she received most of her adolescent training from Encore Dance Theatre and Dillard High School for the Performing Arts. After high school, Crystal started dancing with a local dance company, where she got the opportunity to perform with many different R&B and rap artists. Crystal attended Florida Atlantic University where she earned a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice. She has been teaching for over 10 years. Her choreography has gone on to win various awards and cash prizes. She currently teaches all levels of hip-hop at Encore.

German Dager

German Dager‘s studies in classical ballet, jazz and modern dance were completed at Les Grands Ballet Canadiense in Montreal, York University in Toronto, and University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He was coached and trained under Magda Auñon at The Magda Auñon School of Classical Ballet. He also trained at the Pennsylvania School of Bal- let (now The Rock School) and the Boston Ballet. German danced professionally with Boston Ballet, Ballet de Montreal, Ballet Florida and was a guest dancer with Compañia Colombiana de Ballet. Mr. Dager has been teaching and coaching dancers since 1986. Mr. Dager has been a guest teacher and judge for Dance Masters of America, and Florida Dance Masters. He is a certified classical ballet teacher by examination. Mr German’s coaching has placed his students always in top placements at the prestigious international Youth America Grand Prix competition, The American Dance Com- petition and Universal Ballet Competition. His graduating students have been accepted in the best University’s dance programs in the nation, and his students have been accepted into mayor ballet companies in America and received scholarships to prestigious summer intensives programs. Mr. German is honored and feels privilege teaching master classes at Encore Dance Theatre.

Cindy Dale Grossman

Cindy has a passionate love for dance and has been fortunate enough to live her whole life in the field.She has training at many schools including American Ballet and Alvin Ailey in New York. Other training was with Madame Swaboda from Ballet Russe during the time she performed with the Richmond Ballet as a soloist. Other performances undertakings were with the Ballet de Cuba in Giselle,The Stuggart Ballet in Romeo & Juliet and American Ballet Theater in Swan Lake.
All performances were at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York City.
Cindy earned the opportunity to teach and choreograph – some of which obtained high awards for creativity , as well as wins in competitions.
Many of her students have gone on to receive scholarships to Alvin Ailey Dance Theater ,American Ballet Theater,Dance Theater of Harlem ,and many others with high reputation.

Cindy’s teaching goes outside of the studio where she previously taught the Miami Dolphins Ballet and aerobics and prepared bodybuilders for their competitions . She creavited her own BALLET BARRE workout program, which she has been teaching in Pilates studios for the last five years.
Aside from her teaching career, Cindy works at Becker &Poliakoff as the firm’s law librarian.
Sharing her talent with her students gives her the chance to watch their technique advance and their spirits soar.

Marlee Freiberg-Ramirez

Marlee has been a veteran of Encore Dance Theatre for over 19 years. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. Marlee choreographs for our competition team. Her choreography has won her several high scores. She has a special talent to work with all levels. In her dance career she has performed in Ballet Met’s Beauty and the Beast’s traveling company, Magda Aunon’s School of Ballet’s Nutcracker, commercials for the Power Rangers, Broadway’s 42nd Street’s advertising tap assemble, and the Orange Bowl’s parade.

Gina Jimenez

Gina-Marie Falaguerra has been studying dance and acrobatics in South Florida since the early age of three. She received her training at Michael’s Academy of Dance & Gymnastics and quickly found her love for jazz, hip-hop and acrobatics. During her teen years, Gina went on to receive numerous awards at local regional and national competi- tions in both jazz and acrobatics. In 2005, she performed as a field dancer for Kelly Clarkson and Ashlee Simpson at the Orange Bowl in Miami. Gina furthered her training in 2007 when she was accepted into the Broadway Dance Center’s summer program in New York City where she was selected to assist celebrity choreographer, Brian Fried- man, for the Pulse Dance Tour in Manhattan. She is certified by Dance Masters of America to teach acrobatics of all ages and has been recognized by DMA for her acrobatic and jazz choreography at both regional and national title competitions. Two of her students have held titles for both Miss Teen Dance of Florida and Miss Dance of Florida and have performed her choreography for those pieces all around the country. Above all else, Gina’s true passion is giving students a quality dance education where they can acquire excellent technique, be creative and learn how to use their talent to freely express themselves as individuals throughout their dance careers.

Lillian Hill

Lillian Hill

Lillian Winter Hill has been dancing since the age of six.  She began her training at Pro-Am Dance Studio studying ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop.  She furthered her classical ballet training with Magda Aunon at Fort Lauderdale Ballet Classique for four years.  While attending  Dillard Canter for the Performing Arts as a dance major, she worked as an apprentice with Jubilee Dance Theater.  Upon graduation she joined the Richmond Ballet and began working towards a BFA in dance at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Additionally, she has attended summer intensives at top ballet companies, such as Orlando Ballet and Joffrey Ballet, and participated in three National High School Dance Festival as well as the S.E.R.B.A. Festival.  She joined Arts Ballet Theater of Florida in 2011 and has danced solo roles in Vladimir Issaev’s Harlequinade, Fairy Doll, The Nutcracker, El Encuentro, Chipollino, Donizetti Variations, and Four Seasons.  Some of her greatest achievements include performing for the Prince of Saudi Arabia and touring with Arts Ballet Theater to New York, New York and Lima, Peru.

Lillian Hill

Edwin Holland

Edwin Holland, along with his wife Gaile, owned and operated the Edwin Holland School of Dance from 1985 to 2007.  He received the majority of his dance training as a child from the Judi Nelson School of Dance in North Miami. He also received tap training from master tap teacher Ronn Daniels and legendary hoofer Steve Condos.

Edwin has taught tap classes for several performing arts magnet schools  in Miami-Dade County and has taught as an adjunct professor at Barry University’s Performing Arts Dance ProgramHe is a former Mr. Dance of Florida and has been a certified member of Florida Dance Masters since 1984.

Edwin’s style of tap is a combination of highly animated tap moves for the visual aspect of dance as well as the “close-to-the-floor” percussive rhythms to stay true to traditional origins of tap. Edwin describes himself as extremely passionate about tap and its history and is dedicated to passing on the rich tradition of tap to others.

Stacy Hood

Stacy Hood is comprehensively certified in beginner, intermediate and advanced mat pilates. Stacy holds duel certifications in both classical and contemporary pilates from Polestar Pilates Education and Power Pilates Comprehensive on each apparatus. With over 16 years of experience Stacy specializes in working with children, seniors, dancers, dressage horseback, golfers, NFl football players, competitive swimmers and baseball players. Additionally Stacy has years of experience in rehabilitative pilates specifically for back and neck injuries as well as developing weak, lazy muscles.

Philosophy of exercise- Pilates is a mind body exercise. Mind control is necessary for muscle control. The basic principals of pilates include, breathing, concentration, centering, control, articulation, precision and flow. Learning to use the principals to correctly perform pilates movement will not only ensure the fullest possible benefit from the method but will become integral to everyday movement, posture and sense of well being. When you exercise with out your mind engaged you are only performing half of a workout. With the pilates method the manner in which exercises are performed is greater significance then time spent exercising and the amount of repetitions.

Heydi Piñero

Heydi Piñero graduated with honors from the National School of Ballet in Havana, Cuba and became a “Character and Ballet Instructor” at The Havana’s National School of the Arts. Heydi danced for the National Spanish Ballet of Havana where they combined classical ballet with Flamenco Dance. She have danced in productions such as La Fille Mal Gardee, Bayadera, Coppelia, The Nutcraker , Divertimento(modern), AIDA (Full Production) with the Florida Grand Opera in Miami, Florida, and performed The Witches of Salem with the “Ballet Flamenco La Rosa. Performed for three years at the “Raue Center for the Arts” as a guest artist with “The Berkshire Ballet Theatre” in Chicago and have coached and choreograph modern pieces for students to compete at The Grand Prix Ballet competition and at The World Ballet Competition at Orlando Florida.

Molly Roller

Molly Roller has been involved in dance and cheer for over 30 years. She had the privilege of training in Southern California under Louis McKay, Anatoly Sisman, Tonnie Sammartano, Judith Sharp, and Xavier Hicks to name a few. She has been invited to perform in multiple bowl games, featured in American Cheerleader magazine, and recognized for her work with top awards at the national level. As an instructor and choreographer for over 15 years, Molly has worked with numerous studios as well as high school, collegiate, and professional dance and cheer teams from coast to coast. She is a member of the National Dance Education Organization, and currently moonlights as a prep class instructor and audition judge for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders.

Emily Tedesco

Emily Tedesco began her love of dance while growing up in Vestal, NY. From a very young age Emily heard that whispering voice in her heart that said she needed to dance.  That love of dance propelled her into the professional world.  She went on to train at the prestigious School of American Ballet for three years, followed by the San Francisco Ballet School for one year on full merit scholarships.  At the age of 18 she was invited to join the San Francisco Ballet as an apprentice — her first taste of the life of a professional dancer. From there Emily danced professionally with the Boston Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Nevada Ballet Theatre, Florida Grand Ballet, collaborated with Cirque du Soliel and Phantom of the Opera of Las Vegas, and participated in the National Choreographic Initiative in Irvine, CA.

During her extensive professional dance career she has been fortunate to have explored many major cities within the United States.  Though even more than the cities she has lived in, Emily cherishes the people she’s met and life experiences she has had along the way.

Presently, she is going into her fifth year as a full time resident in Florida.  She is delighted to have the opportunity to teach, choreograph, and dance across South Florida.  As well, Emily is currently pursuing her Pilates certification through Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates Teacher Training.  She is excited to share all of her knowledge for her first season with Encore Dance Theatre.

Hannah Tiemeyer

Hannah Tiemeyer

Hannah is a native of Louisville, Kentucky where she began her fundamental dance education. She attended the Youth Performing Arts High School as a dance major, and received her BFA in dance from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She performed regionally in the Dayton and Indianapolis areas with the Human Race Theatre Company, Gem City Ballet, and Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre. Most recently, she can be seen performing at Walt Disney World in Beauty and the Beast, Live on Stage, and Rivers of Light. At a young age Hannah discovered her passion for teaching. She has taught at dance studios across Kentucky, Ohio, and Florida, and has been recognized on a regional and national level for her performances and choreography. Hannah’s love of dance as an art form and a source of entertainment is what motivates her as a dance educator. She believes that a solid education in multiple forms of dance can lead to unparalleled opportunities in a dancer’s career, and is hopeful that she can instill her love and passion for the art form in her students for years to come!

Tori began dancing at Encore when she was three years old. She was on the competition teamed trained in ballet, tap, jazz, Acro and lyrical. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Supervision and Management. We are delighted that Tori has come back home to EDT!

Maxine Sweedler

Maxine Sweedler

Maxine is originally from Bronx, NY.  She has years of customer service experience and loves working with our EDT families. Maxine works at the front desk on Saturday’s and EDT students love her. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help. Maxine is a huge asset to Encore.

Kevin Aubin

Kevin Aubin started his training in South Florida at Encore Dance Theatre, attending Miami City Ballet. At age 15, he moved to NYC to attend the highly esteemed School of American Ballet. Throughout his training at SAB, he earned the prestige of performing with the New York City Ballet in several performances. Kevin has performed throughout Europe, Japan and the United States. He has danced on Broadway with the companies of Wicked, Hot Feet, the European tour of West Side Story; as well as originating the role of Paulo in the award winning New York Festival Production of Common Grounds Off-Broadway. You can see Kevin in the Golden Globe nominated film Across the Universe and in Old Dogs. Kevin as had the opportunity to perform on the Today Show, Dancing with the Stars, as a lead in a National Truth anti-smoking commercial, Comedy Central, and as a model for DKNY, Teen Magazine, and has graced the covers of New York Magazine and Time Out NY. Kevin is now starring in the Broadway show Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark featuring music by Bono and The Edge.

Debbi Dee

Debbi Dee is known world wide as a “Teachers Teacher” and master tap technician, who has been honored for her con- tribution in Tap Education. In, March 2011, Debbi was given the prestigious “ Living Treasure Award” from OCU. She continues to teach throughout the U.S. for major dance organizations as well as in Japan, France, So. America and Canada. She has held faculty positions in New York at Broadway Dance Center and has worked side by side with Legend Henry Letang. She has been seen on the Covers of many dance magazines including “Dance Teacher”, “Dancer”, “ Dance Magazine of Florida” as well as featured in many publications. Debbi now holds her own Tap Intensive seminars in Florida for teachers and advanced tappers. Her educational Tap DVD’s and CD’s are used by teachers world wide. As a professional dancer and or Choreographer she has worked on Broadway, Lincoln Center, Theater, Nightclub, Movies, T.V., Off Broadway and Walt Disney World with some of the biggest names in Show business. She has a unique understanding of her craft and has devoted her career in sharing that knowledge with teachers and students. She is often copied but never duplicated as she contin- ues to set standards. She is truly “Born To Tap”

Shawna Hall-Bowden

Shawna Hall-Bowden experience spans over 25 years. Miss Shawna has successfully studied in New York at Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Martha Graham Dance School just to name a few. Miss Shawna studied various styles of modern dance such as Horton technique, Graham, Limon, and Dunham technique. Miss Shawna has chose to teach Horton technique in South Florida, and was taught by Marie Forsythe educator of Horton technique. Miss Shawna goal is to teach and expose Horton technique in Florida and allow dancers to develop their strengths.
